Open Bottle Night FundraiserVezér Family Statement: The entire Vezér Family is very honored to have the opportunity to give back to a community that has been so kind to our Family and friends. The North Bay Hospital helped deliver two of our daughters and their Quick actions in the trauma unit along with our most heartfelt prayers saved the life of our niece Angela when she was struck by a drunk driver a few years ago on Highway 12. As many may know the Vezér’s are Jehovah’s Witnesses, therefore we take the command to love thy neighbor as thy self very seriously. We thank North Bay in giving us this opportunity to show our love to our neighbors in Solano County. This contribution to the North Bay Hospital for the establishment of a bloodless surgery and trauma unit which is a large part of the new heart center, not only provides some desperately needed services to the well over 4,000 Jehovah’s Witnesses in Solano County, it also provides the most advanced life saving technology and equipment available today to all the community. It has long been recognized that Jehovah’s Witnesses stance on blood (Leviticus 7:26 and Acts 15:29), has some very, very real benefits to all patients. Bloodless surgery is less evasive, therefore it drastically accelerates the healing process. Also the fact that the patient blood loss is minimal and that all the blood remains as his own, this so greatly decreases the chances of complications and further infections. In fact those in the medical industry that are not Jehovah’s Witnesses are also demanding these same bloodless procedures to be used on themselves and their families, because of these benefits. Again we are so honored to be part of such a kind and generous community, and we must also remember not only those who have given money, but more importantly their time; such as all the wonderful Volunteers, Staff and Doctors at North Bay Hospital.
