San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition

The significance of the 2007 San Francisco wine competition and tasting to the American industry and beyond. The resolutions recognized the accomplishments of the wining wineries and those responsible for the winning wines, including our very own proprietor Frank & Gloria Vezér. Needless to say we were honored to be recognized by these distinguished institutions.

On the world wine stage, Suisun Valley is standing shoulder to shoulder with some of the worlds finest producers. “Yes we we're new to the scene, but were no less capable,” said Issam Mizirawi General Manager and Cellar Master of the Vezér Family Vineyard. Mr. Mizirawi also added ((the event was an important accomplishment for our newly founded winery and for the beautiful Suisun Valley.))

Looking back, it’s clear that winning the DOUBLE GOLD, the SILVER and the BRONZE wasn’t really the prize. The ultimate reward was the new horizon of endless possibilities that were born out of the judgment, not just for Vezér Family Vineyard Winery but for all Suisun Valley. The fact that we can compete with finest in the world, placed us on the national and world map.

Today Suisun Valley has earned their place among the world's great wine growing regions.
